The hotel is located on the Chiantigiana, the wine route between Florence and Siena. One of the four houses, once the summer residence of the Bishops of Siena, is a listed Italian historic monument. The church that backs onto it, Santa Maria Novella, is one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in Florence and dates back to the tenth century.
The property has been renovated while preserving its traditional layout and decorative features, including frescoes dating back to the 16th century.
