The walls, covered with old photographs and engravings that illustrate fishing and marine life, frame wooden tables on which the carpaccio of Saint-JeanJacques, tuna tartare or risotto with salicorns are welcome after a walk to the chapel overlooking the port. From spring its terrace stretches along the beach facing the famous fishermen’s huts of Ile d'Yeu.
Inside, the decoration is simple and warm. Panelling in the lower part of the walls, antique wooden furniture, ex-votos marins… The scenery is set: here you are in the den of the old sea wolves under the protection of the suspended whales which, in chorus, recall the original vocation of the island: fishing on the high seas.
